Cornucopia is an exhibition by South West Victorian artist Ann Krause. Ann’s body of work for this exhibition is hand-built ceramics.
“The volcanic country of South-West Victoria; its rolling hills forged by ancient eruptions, and the rugged limestone headlands of its coastline, are a constant source of inspiration for my ceramic work. Working with clay, using slab and coil techniques, my deep connection with place gives shape to the vessels as they organically emerge into forms and textures that reflect the natural world around me (or are analogous to the natural world)”.
Cornucopia expresses Ann’s passion for ceramics and the handmade, and for the wild beauty of sea and landscapes of the South-West.
